Cooperation
Joint development
A joint Russian-Korean project is being implemented with the support of the Russian Fund for the Promotion of
Innovations.
The South Korean company
S&G Biotech
was registered in March 2000 as a company engaged in the production of medical products (stent grafts and
their delivery devices). During its existence, the company has acquired dealer contracts with 19 countries of
the world, including in 2011 with Russia. Factories for the production of products were opened in South Korea,
Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan. Now with its headquarters located near Seoul, the company continues to develop
and register new products in the field of surgery.
The presented project is aimed at developing the technology and organizing the production of small-diameter
vascular grafts (SDVG). Such SDVG will be used as shunts for vascular access in patients with acute renal
failure (for hemodialysis), necessary for arterial replacement in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis
of the lower extremities, aorto-coronary and extra-intracranial bypass grafting.
The market for SDVG is the market for products for cardiovascular medicine, and the consumer is the clinics
that are engaged in vascular surgery and perform operations to restore blood flow.
