The company carries out R&D and production of the materials using the electrospinning method. The company has experience in implementing international projects and developments in the field of tissue engineering.
Electrospinning is a method for producing polymer fibers as a result of the action of electrostatic forces on a drop of a polymer solution, falling into a strong electric field. The method makes it possible to obtain polymer fibers with diameters ranging from ten of nanometers to several microns.
Products obtained by the electrospinning method are microfiber materials. Fibers can be putted irregularly or oriented forming a 3D sheets in generally up to 1 mm thickness.
The electrospinning solution could be done from synthetic or natural polymers of different strength, elasticity and degree of biodegradation. As well individual polymers or their mixtures, as well as blends of polymer solution with different chemical compounds (like drugs, peptides, lipids, etc) and suspensions/emulsions could be used for fiber production. Variation of the solvents and additives as well as ES conditions, enable to modify fiber structure, whereas sequential or simultaneous laying of fiber from several spinnerets provides production of the materials with a wide range of properties. (reinforcement, sorption, drug delivery, provision of the required substrate and surface properties).
The staff of the company is made up of employees of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center with extensive experience in the field of tissue engineering, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry and the design of scientific equipment.
